White Swamp is a location in New South Wales, near the Queensland border.
The village of White Swamp had a post office, timber mill, school, cemetery, and a couple of general stores. When logging finished in the late 40’s the village all but disappeared. There are no buildings remaining while the cemetery was not restored until 2000.
White Swamp road (mostly dirt) is still open and makes for a scenic backwoods trip from Boonah in Qld to Urbenville in NSW.
